Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you sell.

How fast can my junk car be picked up in Texas?
Many metro pickups can be scheduled same day or next day after you accept an offer. Rural pickups may need more routing time depending on distance and tow access.
Do I need a title to sell my car in Texas?
A signed Texas title in your name is the cleanest option and helps avoid pickup delays. If your title is lost, TxDMV provides a certified-copy process using Form VTR-34.
Can I sell a car without a title in Texas?
Tell us first. Texas no-title cases depend on ownership proof, vehicle age, and registration history — under current TxDMV rules a no-title vehicle generally needs to be at least 13 years old and unregistered for at least 7 years before it can be legally processed without a title. Not every no-title car qualifies the same way.
What paperwork should I have ready?
Have your title if available, photo ID, lien release if needed, and keys if available. After the sale, file a Vehicle Transfer Notification (Form VTR-346) with TxDMV within 30 days to protect yourself from tolls, tickets, and liability.
When do I get paid?
The tow driver hands you a check on the spot when they pick up the vehicle. No waiting for mail or bank transfers.
Does the car need to be running?
Absolutely not. Non-running cars, dead batteries, bad engines, blown transmissions, wrecked cars, and long-sitting vehicles can still qualify for an offer.
Do you buy flood or hail damaged cars in Texas?
Yes. Texas hail, Gulf Coast flood exposure, and storm damage are common reasons sellers come to us. Be clear about water, electrical, mold, airbag, or glass damage when you request your offer.
Is towing really free?
Yes. Towing is included in the offer you accept — there's no surprise mileage, hook-up, or loading fee at pickup.
Can you pick up from an apartment, repair shop, storage lot, or ranch?
Usually, yes. Just provide gate codes, shop contact info, storage release requirements, or ranch access details before dispatch.
How is my Texas car offer calculated?
The offer depends on year, make, model, mileage, condition, title status, missing parts, current parts demand, scrap value, location, and tow access.
Is there a fee to get an offer?
No. Getting a quote is free and comes with no obligation to accept.
What areas do you serve?
We serve sellers across Texas — major metros, suburbs, small towns, and rural pickup areas when the vehicle is accessible for towing. See our Locations page for details.
